We’ve decided to stay near the airport first few days as we were arriving late in the evening. I have to say we could not choose better and our place of accommodation, hotel Ideo Phuket was just amazing. Daily serviced rooms in quiet area, near the beach. Bang on. The area around Sirinat National Park is generally quiet comparing the busier Kata and Phi Phi.
Nai Yang beach is clean and beautiful. Perfect for families with young kids and surrounding restaurants offering the real taste of Thailand dishes as Massaman, Tom Yum and different kinds of curry.
As a part of our stay we organised to see our friends and meet them for a cocktail. They were staying near another nice beach called Surin Beach. This beach was a bit busier that Nai Yang beach, but still plenty of space. Surrounding bars and restaurants offering great choice of cocktails and food.
We liked it there a lot. We also planned to see Wat Phra Thong, near the Thalang District. This wat is known for its half buried golden Buddha statue. Our friends also visited nearby museum which was not as good as the wat.
